Teaching Assistant (Behaviour) – Gainsborough
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Permanent Role After Probation

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant with a focus on behaviour support to join a forward-thinking school in Gainsborough. This is a full-time position, with a view to becoming permanent following a successful probationary period of approximately 12 weeks.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting pupils with behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

2. Promoting positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques

3. Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team

4. Assisting in developing and implementing individual behaviour support plans

5. Creating a calm and structured learning environment that enables all pupils to succeed

Requirements:

6. Experience working in a school setting with children who display challenging behaviour

7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

8. A patient, understanding, and consistent approach

9. Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
