As a Head Chef, you will manage the kitchen team to prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that our Residents will love. You’ll provide a variety of options, considering cultural preferences and dietary requirements. Whether managing food stock, optimizing your budget, or liaising with support teams on nutrition standards, your focus will always be on Resident wellbeing.
HC-One is seeking a Head Chef with an S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate, and an understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we value your positive energy, ability to get along with people, organization skills to meet service times, autonomy in planning and prioritizing, and precision in following recipes. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are essential.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, know what actions to take, and attend relevant safeguarding training. You must be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, including escalation if needed.
