We are seeking an Audit Semi Senior to join our client, a well-established Chartered Accountancy Practice located in Barnet. In this role, you will play an integral part in providing audit and accounting services to a diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a balanced workload split between accounts and audit responsibilities, approximately 50/50.
* Assist in audit assignments, working closely with the audit team to ensure compliance and accuracy.
* Prepare incorporated and unincorporated accounts using Iris software.
* Prepare corporation tax computations using Iris software.
* Prepare client accounts based on incomplete records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns on behalf of clients.
* Be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Complete assignments within agreed timeframes to meet client expectations.
* Maintain direct communication with clients, proactively addressing their financial needs and fostering strong relationships.
* Supervise and provide training to audit trainees during assignments, ensuring their professional development.
Further skills and experience required:
* Part-qualified ACA/ACCA, with the provision of study support where necessary.
* A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience assisting on audits, demonstrating technical competence.
* Proficiency in accountancy software, with experience in Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Iris being advantageous.
* Effective communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment.
