The Opportunity
We seek individuals with analytical skills, attention to detail, and strategic decision-making abilities. Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving capabilities, and proficiency in Data and Excel (like PivotTables) are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Underwrite Group Life and Income Protection quotations for renewals and new business, ensuring timely processing and exceeding sales targets.
* Support strategic relationships across departments by making pragmatic underwriting decisions to meet sales, profitability, and retention goals.
* Represent the Underwriting department in client meetings alongside Sales and Operations teams.
* Provide technical underwriting support to the Sales team as needed.
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Mathematics or a relevant subject.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing own work and deadlines.
* Proactive learning and development mindset.
* Willingness to work in the Brighton head office on a hybrid basis.
