We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Leyland.
About the Role:
This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with teaching staff to support students' learning across a range of subjects. You will assist in delivering high-quality education, promote student progress, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-class support to students, including those with additional needs
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
Deliver targeted interventions in small groups or one-to-one settings
Support students in developing their confidence, skills, and independence
Contribute to the overall wellbeing and safeguarding of students
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
Have experience working with young people in a secondary school setting
Demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills
Show patience, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills
Be a proactive team player with a flexible, can-do attitude
