Job Role: HGV Technician
Location: Andover
Pay: £37,500 - £44,500 DOE
Hours: 7.30am-5.30pm M-F / 45hrs

HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter opportunity
My client, a well-established privately owned company is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Technician for their depot in Andover. You will be working on an internal fleet of circa 800 commercial vehicles to include vans 40%, Motorhomes 30% HGV’s, 20% and cars/4x4’s 10%. Due to company growth looking to add an additional HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter to the team
HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter duties
Working in a well-equipped modern workshop, the successful HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service, repair, maintenance and pre MOT preparation
Working on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles to include vans 40%, Motorhomes 30%, HGV’s 20% and cars/4x4’s 10%
Duties range from correction of running defects to full vehicle overhauls, diagnostics and everything in between.
You will also be required to undertake inspections and pre-MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required.
HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter Qualifications / experience required
In order to qualify for the role, the successful HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter will ideally have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) or be time served
You must have extensive experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitterand be familiar with modern commercial vehicles
Happy to work on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles vans 40%, Motorhomes 30%, HGV’s 20% and cars/4x4’s 10%
IRTEC trained would be beneficial but not essential
Full UK driving licence
