Job Description
To maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment in Distribution Centres as defined on the “Scope of Works Task Sheets,” ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness while adhering to the Company Health and Safety policy.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Complete the PPM schedule within agreed KPI timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is accurately completed according to procedures.
2. Work flexibly within the cluster as required.
3. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and carrying out repairs as necessary.
4. Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet agreed timescales and response times.
5. Order spares following laid-down procedures.
6. Identify non-repairable faults and advise the Lead Engineer or Site Delivery Manager with recommendations for replacements.
7. Make recommendations for suitable replacements for non-repairable plant and equipment.
8. Inform the GM and distribution line managers of repair and maintenance issues affecting depot operations.
9. Assist the Site Delivery Manager in managing third-party contractors and ensure proper filing of service inspection paperwork.
10. Conduct surveys and complete reports as required.
11. Carry out minor alterations, installations, testing, and inspections with full certification.
12. Perform general repairs and maintenance at designated Co-op Distribution sites, including building repairs.
13. Assist City colleagues in other areas upon request.
14. Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly, available, and maintained.
15. Liaise with project teams on site alterations and modernization works.
16. Maintain accurate timesheets.
17. Perform tasks in line with specific KPIs.
18. Attend relevant training to keep skills up-to-date.
19. Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
20. Work with colleagues to maintain quality standards.
21. Follow instructions from the Lead Engineer or Site Delivery Manager.
22. Represent the company professionally and foster good relationships with colleagues.
23. Ensure all costs are approved through proper channels.
