What you will be doing: Leading a team of Health Care Assistants, acting as a positive role model and trusted point of support. Assisting with personal care and support to our residents throughout the night, carrying out regular checks and responding to any night-time requirements. Administering medication (following training and guidelines). Updating care plans and maintaining accurate records. Delivering the highest standard of person-centred care, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing for every resident. Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic environment. Supporting family members and visitors. What you need to succeed: At least a minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant. Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up/or working towards it). Trained in medication administration. Excellent people and customer service skills. Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff. Time management skills to delegate tasks within a team. Excellent communication skills – verbal (within the team and to other external professionals) and writing (ability to write and maintain care plans) and digital skills. Caring attitude.
