Are you an experienced and hands-on Technician looking for a new challenge? We currently have an opportunity available for an EICA Technician (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation) to join our team working in Bournemouth. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis you will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 – £40,000 per annum plus excellent benefits and a company van provided.
Joining our busy EICA team, you will carry out repair and maintenance for water treatment process control and electrical systems and diagnose faults on all aspects of asset control and automation. You will assist Operational staff with the resolution of complex problems and update any site engineering documentation as necessary.
There will be a requirement to occasionally wear breathing apparatus, work in confined spaces, work from heights, work outside and within noisy environments.
This role will follow a formal progression matrix, and performance will be tracked against a planned competency matrix. On completion of a satisfactory probationary period, the EICA Technician role will involve the undertaking of standby and callouts on an Electrical/ICA standby rota, the frequency of which may change in response to the business demands. You must be based within 45 minutes of the operational area due to standby response times.
What You Will Be Doing
* Carrying out repair and maintenance for water treatment process control and electrical systems and diagnosing faults on all aspects of asset control and automation. You will assist Operational staff with the resolution of complex problems and update site engineering documentation as necessary.
* Standby and callout duties on an Electrical/ICA standby rota, with standing times that may vary with business needs.
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience in a process control environment
* Electrical or electronic qualifications
* Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Control) systems
* Full UK driving license
* Extensive training will be provided; we will consider less experienced candidates for a Trainee or Apprenticeship role
* Knowledge of telemetry outstation & radio systems
* Assist in the technical development of apprentices/trainees
* Knowledge of instrumentation calibration
* Willingness to learn new processes and technologies
