The Opportunity
This 9-12 month fixed-term contract is a unique opportunity to support a world-class R&D team during a pivotal year for Slice. With significant growth and innovation ahead in 2025, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a positive employee experience and providing hands-on HR support. As the sole HRBP in the UK, you’ll partner with R&D teams globally and handle local UK HR matters.
The Role
As an R&D HR Business Partner, you will provide hands-on HR support to employees and managers, ensuring a positive and engaging workplace. You’ll partner closely with R&D teams to assist with onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and total rewards. You’ll support managers in handling people-related challenges, offering guidance on policies, best practices, and employee well-being. Your focus will be on fostering a supportive work environment, ensuring compliance, and aiding employees in their development and career growth.

Skills
We’re seeking an HR Business Partner with strong consultative skills, attention to detail, and a passion for navigating a fast-paced startup environment. You should have:
* At least 3 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in a tech or high-growth environment.
* Broad HR expertise across employee relations, performance management, compensation, onboarding, diversity and inclusion, culture and engagement, and UK employment law (including NI regulations).
* Proven ability to coach, advise, and support managers and employees confidently on HR matters.
* Strong problem-solving skills with practical, people-focused solutions.
* Hands-on, results-oriented approach with excellent planning and execution skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
* Ability to build trust and strong relationships quickly, creating a positive HR presence.
* Commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
