We are looking for a Regional Engineering Manager (South) to join our key account teams at Thermatic Technical FM. As a Thermatic Regional Engineering Manager you are a member of the Engineering Team. To manage and motivate a Regional Mobile Engineering Team to deliver effective and efficient FM services for Thermatic, throughout your designated region. Direct responsibility for the successful maintenance and reactive operations, immediate line management of the reporting engineers, and accountability for the quality and safety of work in your nominated region. You will also be required to deliver the highest levels of customer service as an immediate escalation point for both engineers and customers, while ensuring that the business drivers for both the client and Thermatic are met. The is a remote position based in the South with regular travel to sites in their Region. Regular hours of work - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - 40 hour working week. Opportunities to work flexibly are available. Responsibilities include: Lead and manage the regional Field Team, ensuring accountability, performance, and operational excellence. Deliver services to SLA standards, identifying issues early and implementing effective field-based solutions. Drive continuous improvement through process reviews, data analysis (e.g., Power BI), and innovation. Set clear objectives and development plans for team members, conducting regular reviews and addressing underperformance. Promote a motivated, collaborative team culture that supports knowledge sharing and high-quality outputs. Oversee engineer quality control, workload planning, and skillset allocation to maximize productivity. Manage recruitment, onboarding, and development within the regional operations team. Conduct site visits, investigations, and surveys to ensure service quality and gather operational insights. Seek and act on client feedback, attend meetings, and follow up on quotes, PPMs, and reactive works. Ensure compliance with FGAS, Electrical, and Gas Safe standards, managing certifications and audits. Collaborate with Compliance and HSE teams to uphold safety, report hazards, and lead monthly reviews. Provide technical and operational support to engineers while communicating changes and best practices. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Behaviours: Strong operational and commercial awareness. Proven ability to lead and develop regional teams. Capability to drive continuous improvement and identify process inefficiencies. Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to leadership. Excellent client-facing and customer service skills. Sound knowledge of compliance requirements including FGAS, Electrical, and Gas Safe legislation. Confident in managing technical solutions and promoting innovation.
