About The Role
Want to work in a children’s home that makes a positive, lasting difference in children’s lives? Are you an experienced Residential Worker or Youth Worker, or do you have no experience but are looking to build a career in residential care?
We need determined, caring, and thoughtful people to be long-lasting, significant adults in a child's life, and this could be the role for you.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
* Is 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
* Is caring, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships with others.
* Has a valid manual driving license.
* Has the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
Previous experience is not essential for this role. Our Skills to Care induction includes 2 weeks of classroom training and a week of shadow shifts to prepare you for the role.
What Will I Do as a Residential Support Worker?
Our homes are built around accepting children as they are in a non-judgmental way. You will help children experience childhood, build self-esteem, and accept themselves, supporting their journey into adulthood.
* You will facilitate children's activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of their lives, ensuring their health and wellbeing, and safeguarding them at all times.
* You will meet a variety of children and young people, some requiring high levels of supervision and support.
* You will assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping.
* You will create timetables, manage paperwork, and write reports.
