An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic individual to join the leadership team responsible for the Adult Talking Therapies service at Homerton Healthcare on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for applicants looking to develop skills and gain experience in a high performing service.
The role will be based at St Leonard’s Hospital but the post holder will also be expected to visit community sites where these services provide care. The post will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of operational issues, including project management, activity and performance management to ensure we are providing an effective service and meeting the needs of patients in City and Hackney.
The successful applicant will have experience of managing multi-disciplinary healthcare teams with excellent communication skills. The post holder will need excellent organisational skills to co-ordinate the delivery of a comprehensive, high quality service for our patients and they will lead on administrative pathways for the Adult Talking Therapies service at Homerton Healthcare. They will manage information in relation to the patient pathways, ensuring national and local targets are achieved and maintained and work with the senior leadership and management team to support service development projects within the Community and Children's Services (CCS) Division.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Head of Adult Talking Therapies, General Manager and wider clinical and operational teams to ensure the achievement of performance and other local and national clinical and non-clinical targets.
* Lead on the implementation and development of any new contract or project to ensure the service meets the standards set out in the contract or project objectives and provides an efficient and effective service.
* Work with the management team within specific clinical areas and in partnership clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure the effective provision of consistent quality services.
* Provide first line operational management for outpatient, appointments and data systems as well as administrative services and supervise systems and processes.
* In liaison with the Head of Adult Talking Therapies and Quality Leads in the department, ensure appropriate systems and processes are established in departments and areas to support the robust reporting and progress of governance, risk and safeguarding issues.
* Manage designated financial resources within budget and support the Head of Adult Talking Therapies in financial management.
* Support the development of service line reporting and service line management across care pathways within the department.
