The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious, technically-minded graduate to join a dynamic team as an Internal Technical Engineer (Pre-Sales) within a company specialising in bespoke and standardised lift solutions. This is a pivotal role that sits between engineering and sales, helping to drive new business through technical understanding and excellent communication.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment and has the ambition to develop into an external technical sales role in the near future.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the sales team with technical input on lift specifications, drawings, and product compatibility
* Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide tailored pre-sales engineering solutions
* Produce detailed technical proposals and documentation
* Liaise with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure smooth transition from proposal to project delivery
* Keep up to date with industry innovations and product developments
* Participate in client calls, meetings, and (eventually) site visits as part of your professional development
* Provide internal training/support as needed to the sales and customer service teams
What We're Looking For
* A graduate with a degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical discipline
* Strong technical foundation with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
* A proactive, inquisitive mindset with an eagerness to learn and grow
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A genuine interest in transitioning into a customer-facing sales role in the near future
* Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
* Team player who is happy to get involved and take ownership
Desirable (but not essential)
* Knowledge of lift systems or construction/installation sectors
* Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software
