Senior Psychologist (equivalent to NHS afc 8a)
A unique job share opportunity has emerged to join the existing senior psychologist for 3 days a week to support the implementation of our psychological, adversity and trauma (PAT) informed strategy across BSW services with a particular focus on the Intensive outreach service, crisis houses and place of calm run. Your expertise will shape a culture of learning and build resilience in staff across the NHS Mental Health, social care, and voluntary sector to enhance the quality of the service delivery model to improve outcomes for clients.
Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
BSW Service Development Provide a psychological perspective to support effective service development and delivery of designated community mental health services as part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership across the Bath and North-East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) footprint. Lead the implementation of our organisational Psychological, Adversity and Trauma (PAT) strategy to support these VCSE services within BSW.PAT Informed staff support and development Development and provision of various reflective and learning contexts that support staff wellbeing and quality practice within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership VCSE services across BSW (group supervision, team formulation, reflective practice, incident debrief).Capacity building of staff - Develop and deliver training and resources to build capacity of staff within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership VCSE services to embed the Psychological, Adversity and Trauma (PAT) Informed and positive risk management approach that is integral to are service delivery model.Psychological Interventions - The potential to develop an offer of PAT informed interventions to clients accessing designated services within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership to include psychologically informed formulations and pre-therapeutic provision, to overcome barriers to change and support recovery pathways. Capacity allowing and based on need.Second Step Psychology Team Integration into our network of psychological practitioners working across Second Step services.
Person Specification
Experience
* Considerable experience and interest in working with people with histories of trauma e.g. personality disorder traits/presentations, multiple disadvantage including a range of adult mental health presentations and/or substance misuse, forensic histories and
* homelessness.
* Ability to formulate different ways of adapting and surviving using trauma informed frameworks
* Experience in working in NHS mental health settings with fluctuating and complex risk presentations e.g. crisis/home treatment and/or secondary care.
* Significant experience offering supervision.
* Experience of developing and delivering psychological and trauma informed training to different audiences
* Experience and interest in group facilitation and offering reflective contexts and developing and delivering training to various audiences.
* Experience of working autonomously across services or teams offering consultation and influencing the networks of support around individuals and creating system change
* Experience of evaluation and audit
* Experience of the voluntary sector and/or working across multiple services/teams simultaneously
* Experience of working with clients with High intensity use of services
