We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our clients team based at their site near to Kidsgrove!
APPLICANTS MUST COME FROM A ENGINEERING / FABRICATION SETTING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE.
Our client is a large well established fabrication company that prides itself in being able to offer stable, long-term employment in the area. Having been successful year upon year they are now looking to expand their quality team with the appointment of another Quality Engineer.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis, therefore meaning if successful, you'll be employed directly by the client on a full time, permanent contract.
What you'll be doing:
You'll be part of our clients quality team working alongside the production, design and customer management team to ensure;
Products and processes meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Conduct quality inspections and audits through-out the production process.
Ensuring the correct procedures are carried out when non conformance is identified.
Ensure PPAP elements are completed correctly and on time.
Providing clear data driven feedback.
Assist with the introduction of new products into production.
Identity areas of improvement.
Liaise with customers to investigate quality issues.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 07:30hrs - 16:30hrs and Friday 07:30hrs - 12:30hrs.
Pay:
£40,000 - £50,000 per year, depending on experience.
+ a £2000.00 signing on bonus for joining our clients company if successful in the recruitment process.
Experience required (Essential):
Previous experience required working as a quality technician/engineer/inspector in the fabrication / engineering sector
Automotive experience
Knowledge of PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, APQP (Automotive core tools).
Excellent understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings (including GD&T)
