Lead Injection Moulding Setter As we continue to grow and expand, we’re seeking an experienced lead injection moulding setter to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled, detail-focused person to play a key role in a thriving business and make a real impact on our continued success. Reporting to the moulding team leader, this is a full-time and permanent position. The working hours will be a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern. You will work 2 ​ days 6am-6pm, 2 days on 6pm – 6am, then ​ four ​ days off. However, you will occasionally be required to work around the needs of the business, and therefore a flexible, can-do attitude is essential. Who are Loadhog? What is the role? This role is responsible for ensuring efficient running of machines, ensuring production and quality targets are met whilst maintaining the housekeeping standards of the business. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: Leading a team of setters when working a night shift in line with the 5E leadership behaviours (Edge, Energy, Energise, Engage and Execute). delegating and allocating workload amongst the team. Giving written and verbal handovers to other shifts and the wider team. Performing tool changes safely on various moulding machines. Operating injection moulding machines to meet production targets. Operating material conveyance and chiller systems. Conducting colour/material changes. Maintaining optimum production on all machines, by minimising downtime and scrap production. Supporting continuous improvement (kaizen system) – design, develop and implement ideas. Maintaining the housekeeping standards of the department. Reporting on moulding OEE, downtime and any other moulding related issues at daily production meetings. ​ Conducting and communicating 5S audits. Ensuring accurate manual events and jobs are allocated correctly on Gemba. Planning when cover will be required and communicating during production meetings when shifts will be lacking for the work planned. Reviewing part performance each day and communicating when modifications to targets are required. Carrying out material and tool trials. Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed. Responding to quality/production when issues arise. Demonstrating the Loadhog values. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience: A passionate people person with the aspiration to lead a team. Proven experience in injection moulding. Experience with Engel injection moulding machines preferred. Familiarity with Viper/Sepro 3-axis robots and Kuka 6 Axis robots. Experience with machinery sizes ranging from 100t-1700t. Mechanical and electrical experience advantageous. Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings and manuals. Strong awareness of health and safety requirements and procedures. Awareness of quality standards and their relevance in manufacturing. Excellent communicator – verbal and written. Excellent time management skills. Willingness to train and develop across additional technologies. Committed to developing personal skills. Able to work under pressure. What will we offer you in return?
