Key Account Manager – Nature Based Solutions

We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to lead the growth of our nature‑based solutions portfolio, specialising in the delivery of reedbed treatment systems.
Responsibilities
In this role you will ensure clients' needs are met with exceptional service, meeting expectations for quality, timeliness, and cost. You will advise on water and wastewater regulations, manage a regional portfolio, maximise upsell opportunities, oversee contract performance and financials, resolve client issues, and work cross‑functionally for future planning.
You will also build and maintain client relationships, adopt best practices, influence industry changes, lead customer reviews, identify new prospects, create tactical and strategic plans, hold educational events, lead team meetings, and present to senior leadership.
Key Accountabilities
* You will lead the growth of our nature‑based solutions portfolio, specialising in the delivery of reedbed treatment systems
* Maintain and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standards whether Severn Trent, client, regulatory, statutory or legal obligations.
* Ensure payments are made and revenue collected to balance account and ensure KPIs & SLAs are adhered to, as well as customer expectations being met.
* Report any issues, complaints or discrepancies, engaging with all organisations to ensure timely resolution and collaborating with the MoD Projects team to drive a successful and compliant business.
* Understand and improve performance against standards set internally, externally and by clients and competitors, while providing timely feedback to the management team.
* Deliver accurate measures and findings to the management team to assist with decision‑making for the future.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a trusting relationship with clients and potential clients.
Qualifications
To be successful you should be well‑versed in the water and wastewater industry, including regulatory, statutory and legal obligations, and have relevant industry experience with infrastructure services, operations, systems and solutions similar to those provided by Severn Trent Services. Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships is essential.

* Understanding of company KPIs and regulatory targets relevant to business development.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and apply industry standards.
* Strong track record of stakeholder engagement and management.
* Driven to deliver personal, team and company objectives, handling demanding tasks and understanding cost implications.
* Problem‑solving skills to enhance customer experience.
* Technical understanding of water and wastewater assets.
* Excellent customer service and experience managing key accounts and relationships with external stakeholders.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to secure and retain full MoD (SC) security clearance.
