ABP Linden have an exciting opportunity based in our Retail site for a Despatch Shipping Administrator


The role involves:

Ensure the integrity of our products, customers, and brands is always maintained, in line with the role and relevant procedures.

Organise all daily transport requirements with the dedicated partner, as outlined by the Group Logistics Manager.

Manage and plan all outbound and inbound movements. Liaise daily with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on progress and any changes, resolving any shipping or delivery issues.

Monitor and coordinate dispatch schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Track shipments and delivery performance, escalating delays or discrepancies as needed.

Raise transport purchase orders in line with the agreed price card issued by the Group Logistics Manager.

Cross-check and approve transport invoices.

Complete all required documentation for outbound and inbound shipments, including uploading to haulier portals where necessary.

Maintain accurate records of shipments, dispatch logs, and delivery confirmations.

Manage daily and weekly KPIs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and dispatch processes.

Assist in route planning and optimization to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs.

Manage returns and reverse logistics processes when applicable.

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Support operational tasks such as picking, scanning, and loading of orders as required.

Participate in stock takes as required.

Operate vehicles as needed. Training will be provided, and all operators must hold a valid, approved license before operating any vehicle.


Requirements

5 GCSE's Grade A-C or equivalent, combined with previous experience in a similar role

Outgoing and self-confident with excellent communication skills

Strong organisational and time management skills

Must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of IT systems

Invoicing experience will be an advantage

Able to work effectively in a team and on own initiative

Ability to develop effective and close working relationships with other departments

Flexible approach to working hours
