Our client, an established contractor operating in the highways industry, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor has a strong pipeline of work with National Highways and multiple local authorities, boasting a successful proven track record of delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued success, they are looking to strengthen theirmercial team.This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Liverpool office Your new role
1. As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
2. Management and control ofmercial aspects of the projects
3. Direct interface/liaison with the client’s delivery team
4. Procurement and management of subcontractors
5. Pricing of contract and third-party works
6. Identification and management of change control
7. Maintainmercial information relevant to the contract
8. Measurement, contract administration, record keeping, maintaining key schedules for information and procurement, tendering and placement.
What you'll need to succeed
9. In order to be successful, you must have:
10. Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor in the Civil Engineering industry
11. Sound understanding of NEC form of contract
12. Proven ability in managing and controllingmercial aspects of projects
13. Excellent analytical, negotiation andmunication skills
14. Full UK driving licence.
