Named Nurse for Safeguarding (CAMHS) & PREVENT Lead

We are seeking a safeguarding practitioner to assume a leadership role as the Named Nurse for Safeguarding (CAMHS) and PREVENT Lead at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. You will oversee safeguarding activities within CAMHS and provide strategic guidance on PREVENT responsibilities across the organization.

Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities, reporting to the Head of Safeguarding, will include:
* Leading safeguarding activities across CAMHS
* Advising clinicians and managers on safeguarding issues
* Ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards
* Collaborating with senior teams to enhance safeguarding provisions
* Building partnerships with external agencies
* Overseeing Trust compliance with PREVENT responsibilities
* Managing PREVENT policies, training, and procedures
* Representing the Trust at PREVENT and Channel meetings
* Leading PREVENT reporting and training coordination

Person Specification
Qualifications & Training
* Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with substantial post-registration experience
* First-level degree in nursing or a health-related subject
* Evidence of safeguarding children and/or Looked After Children/Young People qualification
* Diploma/degree and/or experience in a CAMHS setting
* Master's degree or working towards a teaching qualification
* Qualification in Safeguarding Supervision
Experience
* Significant safeguarding children/Looked After Children experience at Band 7 or above
* Experience delivering safeguarding supervision
* Proven professional leadership and team management skills
* Experience with multi-agency audits, report writing, policy development, and education delivery
* Effective partnership working experience
* CAMHS setting experience at Band 7 or above
* Experience contributing to safeguarding reviews and action plans
* Successful change management and innovation leadership
Knowledge and Skills
* Expertise in safeguarding legislation and the Prevent agenda
* Excellent communication skills across organizational boundaries
* Ability to analyze, evaluate, and record information accurately
* Strong organizational skills
* Experience with audits, reports, and continuous professional development
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines
* Experience in budget management
