Interim Systems Accountant
Nottinghamshire (With hybrid working model)
SF Recruitment requires a qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience Accountant to join our client on an interim contract. This role offers an exceptional opportunity and package for the successful individual.
Reporting to the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include:
1. Management of system administration and acting as first support for system queries
2. Audit review of controls to identify risks
3. Supporting key projects for continuous improvement of systems
4. Liaising with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to resolve system issues and implement upgrades
5. Reviewing and maintaining financial systems policies and procedures
6. Training and supporting finance and non-finance colleagues in the use of financial systems
7. Documenting key business processes related to finance systems
8. Scoping out potential system improvements and best practices
9. Streamlining and enhancing business reporting
10. Identifying and escalating potential risk areas
The ideal candidate will possess strong systems skills, preferably with experience in larger organizations using multiple systems. Data management skills should be robust, with the ability to handle large data sets across various platforms.
Additional requirements include:
* Experience in mapping and implementing new processes, supporting their integration into the business
* Experience with systems implementation is advantageous
* A solid accounting background with an understanding of double entry
* Knowledge of various finance systems is highly beneficial
* Strong stakeholder management and project management skills
* Experience in continuous improvement processes
