Purpose of Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cleaning Supervisor to lead and support our team in delivering a consistently high standard of cleaning and hygiene services.
This is a key role within a professional facilities team, providing a proactive, high-level, customer-focused service to our clients.
You must be eligible to work in the UK and able to provide the required documentation. Good physical ability is essential for this role.
Job Description
Working closely with the Management team, you will ensure all tasks are completed as instructed, on time, and to the required standard, while maintaining a safe and professional working environment.
The role may also involve covering site and caretaking duties during periods of holiday or absence.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise and support a team of Cleaning Operatives to deliver a consistent, high-quality service.
2. Organise staff cover for holidays and absences to ensure service continuity.
3. Order, monitor, and replenish cleaning stock and consumables.
4. Deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
5. Carry out audits and liaise with the client team to ensure standards are maintained.
6. Support Management in the day-to-day running of the cleaning service.
7. Promote high standards of safety, hygiene, and customer service.
Cleaning Duties (as required)
Assist the team with essential cleaning tasks when necessary, including:
8. Damp wiping and dusting
9. Vacuuming and mopping
10. Carpet cleaning
11. Window cleaning
12. Waste removal
13. Litter picking
14. Washroom cleaning
15. Ensuring all equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in good working order
Essential Qualifications/Skills
16. Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role.
17. BICSc training (preferred).
18. Good organisational and communication skills.
19. Ability to lead by example and support a team effectively.
