The Headteacher and SENCO of a well-regarded primary school in Everton are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This excellent opportunity involves working closely with EYFS and KS1 staff to design and deliver targeted interventions aimed at improving pupils’ Phonics, Reading, and Writing skills. The role is based on site at the school.
This is a unique position and would ideally suit an experienced Teaching Assistant with a particular interest in supporting children within EYFS and KS1. Applicants must be confident in delivering high‑quality phonics interventions and supporting children who may require additional help. Experience of working with pupils with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, and MLD, is essential. Strong skills in tracking pupil progress and collaborating effectively with class teachers and the school SENCO are also required.
As this is a newly created role, the school is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. Depending on the success of the interventions, the position may lead to a permanent post.
The school is centrally located in the Everton area, with excellent transport links and free on‑site parking available.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience working in EYFS and/or KS1
* Strong Literacy and Phonics knowledge
* Availability to work five days per week
* Enthusiasm and creativity to inspire children and help them achieve their full potential
