STEM Outreach & Public Engagement Coordinator
STEM Outreach and Public Engagement Coordinator - Permanent.
The STEM Response Team from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Wolverhampton are looking for an amazing person to join their nationally renowned public engagement and STEM outreach group. The role would be perfect for those interested in or practicing science communication, teaching a STEM subject, the performing arts, creative marketing, social media and working with the local community to promote careers in STEM subject areas. You must have good skills of project and people management as you will work as a coordinator within the team to direct the activities of the group, liaise with customers and partners, control finance and supervise interns.
You will also be given the creative space to design and deliver STEM engagement interventions, develop new expertise in public engagement and contribute to the portfolio of activity that the STEM Response Team provides nationally to schools and communities.
This full time 5 days a week position would best suit individuals who are highly passionate about making a difference to other people’s lives. Ideally, you must be a graduate from a STEM or subject area relevant to the activities for the STEM Response Team, be entitled to work full-time hours (37 hours per week) and be available at weekends/ bank holidays if necessary. Importantly, you must be highly flexible, highly resilient, adaptable and creative to be a success in this fast-paced, extremely physically demanding and above all exciting role.
Responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements
* Graduate from a STEM or subject area relevant to the activities of the STEM Response Team.

* Highly skilled in project and people management; capable of working as a coordinator within the team.
* Highly flexible, highly resilient, adaptable and creative for a fast-paced and physically demanding role.
