Corporate Compliance Analyst

Department: Risk and Compliance

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract

Location: London

Description

Commitment to innovation and a drive to do things differently have seen Greenergy grow from a bedroom start-up to become a world leader in waste-based renewables, and the UK’s leading fuel supplier. We endeavour to approach the status quo of an established industry with fresh eyes, and empower our people to develop and to deliver change through innovation. Our values underpin every interaction we have, whether with colleagues, customers, suppliers and the communities in which we operate. It is these values of Respect, Ownership, Care and Integrity that have delivered our growth as a business and developed strong customer relationships.
Choose to work for Greenergy and you’ll join a dynamic and passionate team, who are constantly looking to grow and improve.

Are you a detail-oriented administration professional with a strong background in corporate secretarial work? We’re looking for a confident and proactive individual to join our Risk and Compliance team as a Corporate Compliance Analyst on an 18-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). This key role centres on managing and coordinating corporate secretarial activities across our group entities, liaising with external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, timely governance processes and accurate record-keeping.

Beyond corporate secretarial responsibilities, you’ll also contribute to the wider compliance programme, supporting policy governance, training oversight, and internal reporting - as well as playing a hands-on role in delivering data protection activities, including managing subject access requests and maintaining GDPR related records. This is a varied and impactful role for someone who thrives on structure, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Secretarial:
* Oversee relationships with Corporate Secretarial Advisors across the Group and assist with annual mandatory filings, including financial statements filings and ad hoc requirements (such as board minutes drafting assistance, letters of resignation and appointment)
* Keep the Group Companies’ records updated and actively input information on the filing system GEMs
* Respond to third parties KYC requests about Greenergy entities, completing required forms and providing documents as appropriate
* Be the liaison person between Greenergy and the Group’s main shareholder on corporate secretarial matters
Compliance and Governance:
* Assist implementing the compliance programme by actively monitoring mandatory training completion and providing accurate results and reports to the Global Head of Risk and Compliance
* Assist in the annual re-certification of key policies, supporting the other member of the team in the annual revision and update of the policies process
* Assist in providing relevant data for the Global Head of Risk and Compliance on quarterly basis for the meeting of the relevant Board Committee
* Provide general support on compliance related projects
Data Protection/GDPR:
* Provide support on Data Subject Access Requests received by Greenergy, leading on responding to the request efficiently and timely
* Maintain Data Protection related registers and assist the other member of the Team in handling breaches and Data Protection related requests
General:
* Role model the Greenergy values
* Any other reasonable tasks as requested

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential:
* Previous experience of working in an administrative or compliance-focused role
* Previous experience in corporate secretarial tasks and liaising with senior stakeholders
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Experience creating or reviewing documents and policies, minute taking and record keeping
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Possesses a confident and professional demeanour, with the ability to represent the organisation effectively at all levels
* Good organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
* Demonstrates a high level of autonomy and is comfortable taking initiative without constant supervision
* Good cross-departmental collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and foster cooperation
Desirable:
* Experience with data protection practices, including handling Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
* Knowledge of 'Know Your Customer' (KYC) procedures and relevant experience in this area
* Familiarity with corporate compliance software or tools, such as GEMS
