Senior Project Quantity Surveyor – Clean Energy Generation
Senior Project Quantity Surveyor sought by leading project developer pioneering the delivery of Renewable Energy assets throughout the UK. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will support project delivery, taking responsibility from the project development team, supporting the closure of contracts, and managing them through construction and handover to operations.
Projects include the UK’s largest Energy Storage Assets (+100MW), H2 Ready Thermal Power Plants, and Green Hydrogen Electrolysis Assets. These projects involve high-value equipment, M&E, and civils activity.
The ideal candidate will oversee risk and value management, drive subcontractor performance, and manage quality. A background in M&E, Renewables, O&G, Thermal Power, or other large-scale Infrastructure (Data Centres, Civil Infra) is preferred.
Key requirements:
* Experience with various contract forms, especially NEC suite (ECC accreditation preferred);
* Experience with heavy Civils/M&E/Energy works in main/principal contractor setting (preferred);
* Experience managing contracts over £10m (desirable).
Key responsibilities:
* Manage change processes, risk, and early warning registers; proactively handle variations to reduce project risk and costs;
* Prepare procurement documents, review work scopes, and conduct contract negotiations;
* Administer contractor payments and notifications;
* Monitor disallowed costs and reporting activities, including cost plans and earned value analysis;
* Provide commercial support to site management;
* Maintain professional relationships.
