This long-term role involves teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Specialisms in History, Geography, or Religious Education are warmly welcomed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in your Humanities subject
* Teach across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 involvement
* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
* Prepare pupils for GCSE exams with focused teaching and revision
* Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
* Uphold school behaviour policies and maintain effective classroom management
* Engage in wider school life, including extracurricular activities
* Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
Candidate Profile:
* QTS or equivalent overseas teaching qualification
* Degree in a Humanities discipline (e.g. History, Geography, RE)
* Proven experience teaching in secondary education
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching
* Excellent communication and classroom leadership skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
