We have an exciting opportunityfor a supervisor to work for a nationally recognised fresh producebusiness. Our client operates one of the largest greenhouses inEast Anglia, and are looking for someone with crop work (leafing,picking, twisting etc) and supervisoryexperience.
This is anew site for a company who have successfully set up severalprojects all over the UK and have huge amounts of experience ingrowing fruits and vegetables. It presents an opportunity to get inat the early stages of their latest venture and comes withexcellent prospects for promotion and career progression.
Your role will be tooversee a team of crop workers in the greenhouse and willinclude;
* Ensuringpickers achieve volume and qualitytargets
* Liaising withmanagement and the pack houseteams
* Spot checks onuniform, and food safety & hygienestandards
* Training newstarters and motivating the existingteam
* Monitoring thehealth of theplants
* Reporting ofattendance, performance and productivity of your team back tomanagement
You will workMonday to Friday, and in peak season should have flexibility towork occasional overtime at weekends if required. Start times willvary between 6am - 9am.
You will need your owntransport as the site is not accessible by bus ortrain.
The salary is a minimum 27,500 per annum,more for candidates with relevant experience.
