Job Description
We are recruiting for a PBS Practitioner to be based at these charities offices for an ongoing, temporary assignment, there is an expectation of travel around the region and therefore a car driver is essential. Are you invested in improving lives of adults with Autism and complex behavioural needs, the successful applicant must have used the PBS- Positive Behavioural Support framework to be suitable with this role. A challenging opportunity, key duties will include;
* Responsible for enhancing support that is already provided by involved services
* Contribution to the identification and management of risk, multiagency planning, training and education advice
* Delivering highly specialist assessment and intervention guidance, including the development of PBS plans.
* Promoting and supporting colleagues with understanding and adopting the values and principles of PBS
* Working closely with the PBS Delivery Training Team Manager and the Quality and Continual Improvement Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected charity within Yorkshire; the successful applicant will have;
* Experience Health Professional with evidence of working in Services with a wide range of needs.
* BSc in a Psychology-related subject.
* An appropriate post-graduate qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis or Positive Behavioural Support; or sufficient relevant experience of working within a PBS service or the PBS framework.
* Relevant qualifications in Teaching and Education is desirable
* Knowledge of the wide range of statutory independent and third-sector service provisions for people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism
* Knowledge of other relevant local and national documents/drivers that affects practice
* Good understanding of current strategies and policies concerning learning disabilities.
* Experience working with adults with a Learning Disability and/or Autism
* Experience in completing a functional assessment, and developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans
* Experience in managing own caseload.
* Experience working with people who are identified as presenting behaviour which poses risks or limitations to their quality of life.
