Within this role you will be working in small, empowered DevOps teams, youll contribute to secure, high-performance systems used across national infrastructure. This role will suit hands-on engineers who enjoy collaborating closely with product, design and back-end peers, and who want to work on software that has real operational significance.
As a Front End Developer, you will:
Build and maintain modern, responsive front-end interfaces for secure systems and applications.
Lead front-end design and architecture across component-based frameworks and JavaScript stacks.
Collaborate closely with UX, API and system engineering teams to translate design into production-grade front-end code.
Apply secure coding standards, accessibility principles and testing practices (Jest, Jasmine, Cypress).
Contribute to continuous delivery pipelines and advocate DevOps ways of working within your team.
As a Front End Developer, you will need:
Strong skills in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, with solid understanding of DOM complexity and ARIA standards.
Experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar.
Familiarity with front-end build tooling Webpack, Rollup, Node.js scripting, and environment configuration.
Applied understanding of agile delivery and test-driven development.
Ability to collaborate effectively with design, product and technical stakeholders.
