Functional Skills Tutor – NG1 Nottingham | In-Person Role | Flexible Daytime Hours
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to support learners in the NG1 Nottingham area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver 1:1 tuition to students who require additional academic support, including those with SEN, SEMH needs, or learners outside of mainstream education.

* In-person tuition (home, school, or community settings)
* Monday to Friday
* Daytime/school hours

Role Responsibilities
* Deliver Functional Skills tuition in Maths and English (1:1)
* Plan and adapt sessions to meet individual learner needs
* Support students in building confidence and academic progress
* Create engaging, structured, and supportive learning sessions
* Work closely with learners to improve outcomes and motivation

Ideal Candidate
* Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills (Maths & English)
* Experience working with young people (SEN/SEMH desirable)
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
