Our policy and economics team is based across the UK (London, Reading, Bristol, Manchester) and Belgium (Brussels). The team collaborates with our broader global advisory services, comprising environmental specialists in over 50 countries with more than 73,000 members. Our Belgium team seeks to strengthen our presence in EU policy-making. Located in Brussels, our multidisciplinary team will involve you in EU projects from day one, providing training, career development, and personal support to help you become a recognized expert in your fields of interest.
This role supports the growth of our European environmental policy and economics business. You will work on projects related to water, hazardous chemicals, industrial emissions, air quality, natural capital, ecosystem services, climate change, waste, and resources, among other specialized areas. We seek candidates with experience in these areas, joining us during a period of strong workload and ambitious growth plans.
The role requires proven experience in applying economic theory and socio-economic techniques to environmental policies at international levels, including cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis, ex-post evaluation, impact assessment, valuation of health and social effects, and assessing economic competitiveness.

Qualifications
* Proven experience managing socio-economic projects related to environmental, health, or safety policies, preferably in consultancy, with a focus on delivering high-quality work to clients and maintaining a commercial focus.
* Mathematical and quantitative analysis, data/statistical modeling skills.
* Experience with survey design, market analysis, socio-economic analysis, regulatory impact assessment.
* Familiarity with government and business statistics from international sources.
* Experience in policy development techniques, evaluation of measures, cost-benefit analysis, data collection and validation, stakeholder engagement.
* Track record in developing professional networks, securing new business, and delivering successful proposals (senior consultant level).
* Excellent communication skills and ability to produce clear, concise reports in English.
* Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to plan and meet deadlines.
* Undergraduate degree in economics or related field; focus on microeconomics or public policy is advantageous.
* Postgraduate qualification in economics, environmental science/technology, engineering, law, or policy is preferred, especially if combined with an economics degree.
