Chief Operating Officer (COO) – RM Staffing B.V. (Chester, United Kingdom)
Overview
We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the day‑to‑day administrative and operational functions of the business. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO ensures strategy execution, drives operational scalability, and maintains a high‑performance culture across all departments.
Responsibilities
* Operational Leadership & Management
o Oversee daily operations across critical departments, including Operations, HR, IT, and other core business functions.
o Design, implement, and continuously monitor standardized procedures and workflows to maximize efficiency and productivity.
o Identify, evaluate, and mitigate key operational risks to ensure compliance, business continuity, and organizational stability.
* Strategic Planning & Execution
o Translate the CEO’s long‑term vision and strategic goals into clear, actionable operational plans and departmental targets.
o Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, reporting insights to the CEO and recommending corrective actions.
o Lead initiatives that build the necessary infrastructure, technology, and organizational structure to support sustainable company growth.
* Financial & Resource Stewardship
o Collaborate with the CFO to manage the company’s operating budget, controlling expenses and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profit margins.
o Manage and allocate internal resources (personnel, technology, and capital) effectively to support all strategic projects and operations.
* Talent & Culture Development
o Mentor and guide department heads and the senior leadership team, fostering accountability and continuous professional development.
o Champion the company’s core values, ensuring a high‑performance internal culture that drives employee engagement and retention.
Qualifications
* Experience & Executive Skills
o Minimum 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
o Track record in scaling operations, driving organizational efficiency, and managing complex cross‑departmental functions.
o Demonstrated ability to mentor senior management, lead large teams, and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.
* Process Knowledge
o Expert knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma, and strategic planning frameworks.
* Education & Certification
o Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
o Relevant certifications in Executive Leadership, Strategic Management, or Process Improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) are highly beneficial.
