Qualifications & Requirements This Nursery Assistant role is open to a wide range of candidates, including those who hold: Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualifications (desirable but not essential) CACHE, NVQ, or Early Years Educator (EYE) qualifications (welcomed) You should also have: Experience working with children in an early years or childcare setting A basic understanding of the EYFS framework Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection A positive, caring, and reliable approach Key Responsibilities As a Nursery Assistant, your role will include: Supporting the care and supervision of children aged 0–5 Assisting with daily activities and learning through play Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment Working closely with Nursery Practitioners and room leaders Supporting children with personal care routines Following all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures About Me I am an Early Years Consultant supporting nurseries across Chelmsford and the wider Essex area.
