* Carry out engineering audits, condition assessments, and compliance inspections, identifying risks, defects, and improvement actions
* Plan, deliver, and oversee corrective and remedial works to address audit findings, compliance gaps, and system deficiencies
* Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary system shutdowns, isolations, and infrastructure refurbishments
* Undertake technical assessments, commissioning support, and oversight of installations for new or upgraded systems
* Provide specialist guidance and assurance on statutory and regulatory compliance, including HTMs, SFG20, and Health & Safety legislation
* Prepare, review, and author Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe systems of work
* Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and detailed technical reporting
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to colleagues and contractors
* Participate in occasional overtime and out-of-hours support to maintain service continuity
About You
You will be a highly skilled mechanical or electrical engineering specialist, with a strong track record in diagnosis, resolution, audit, and remedial delivery within complex, safety-critical environments. You will be comfortable operating autonomously while acting as a trusted technical advisor to others.
* HNC/HND or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
* Demonstrable experience in complex M&E environments, ideally healthcare or other critical services
* Advanced fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving capability
* Strong understanding of compliance auditing, remedial planning, HTMs, SFG20, and Health & Safety standards
* Ability to work independently while supervising and supporting colleagues as required
* Flexibility to work a rotating shift system and travel across sites (full driving licence required)
* Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical issues into clear, practical actions
* Familiarity with CAFM systems, digital diagnostics, and asset and compliance data
