The Student Engagement and Welfare Officer is a vital role in coordinating activities relating to student attendance, engagement and welfare, and provides support to students for enhancing progression and retention throughout their studies. The post holder will play an active role in advising and supporting Programme teams, Personal tutors and Programme Directors with any engagement issues and signpost to relevant services where required.
The post holder will be required to have knowledge and experience of attendance and engagement processes. The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure with time‑sensitive tasks, possess excellent communication skills, advise staff, and manage potentially challenging and complex student cases.

SHMS are looking to appoint a fixed term (12 months), full‑time Student Engagement and Welfare Officer within the Student Experience Team within the Student and Academic Administration department.
