Job Title: Corporate Solicitor - Associate/Senior Associate Location: Manchester City Centre PQE: 4 Years Salary: Competitive Excellent Benefits Type: Full-time, Permanent The Opportunity: A highly respected, partner-led commercial law firm in Manchester is looking to expand its corporate team with the appointment of a Corporate Solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level. This is an outstanding opportunity for a lawyer with 4 years' post-qualified experience who is looking to handle quality transactional work in a dynamic, supportive, and well-established team. The role offers excellent exposure to a wide variety of corporate matters and the chance to work closely with clients ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to high-growth companies, investors, and entrepreneurs across the region and beyond. Role Overview: You will take a lead role on a broad range of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, corporate restructuring, shareholder arrangements, and general corporate governance matters. This is a client-facing role with the opportunity to develop key relationships and contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing and well-connected team. Key Responsibilities: Managing and advising on a wide range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, investments, joint ventures, and reorganisations Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key corporate documentation including SPAs, shareholder agreements, and investment documents Working closely with clients, intermediaries, and colleagues across other departments to deliver seamless, commercially focused legal advice Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees within the team Playing an active role in business development and contributing to the strategic growth of the corporate offering Candidate Profile: Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with at least 4 years' PQE in corporate law Experience managing M&A and investment transactions, ideally with exposure to SME and owner-managed business work Strong technical and drafting skills with a clear commercial mindset Confident and credible in client-facing situations, with a track record of building trusted relationships A team player with a proactive approach and a genuine interest in helping clients grow and protect their businesses Ambitious, organised, and looking for a long-term career move with a clear path to progression Why Apply?
