Prospero Teaching is seeking passionate, proactive, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils in an inspirational SEN School in Ashington starting in September on a full-time basis. * The role is based in an inspirational SEN School in Ashington.
* The School supports pupils aged 2-19, with opportunities to support across all Primary and Secondary year groups depending on your preference and expertise.
* The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work collaboratively within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours, and Contract:
* Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025. Temporary Contract.
* Start Date – September 2025
* Location – Ashington
About the Role:
* The role involves supporting pupils with various SEN and challenging behavior on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
* The School supports pupils with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, PMLD, MLD, and SEMH.
* Some pupils may be non-verbal or require Personal Care; willingness to support in these contexts is essential.
* A key part of the role is understanding the different needs and learning styles of pupils, working closely with Class Teachers and colleagues to tailor support.
Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:
* A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired).
* Experience working with children in UK schools.
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* A resilient, proactive, and positive attitude.
* Right to Work in the UK.
* An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to obtain one.
* Provide two professional references covering the last two years.
