Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Officer to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our regulatory and compliance framework.
The Role:
As a Risk & Compliance Officer, you will support the firm in ensuring adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, and professional standards. You will work closely with senior management to identify, assess, and mitigate risks while promoting a strong culture of compliance throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and other applicable legal frameworksAssisting with the development, implementation, and review of internal compliance policies and proceduresManaging and maintaining the firm's risk registerConducting file reviews and internal auditsSupporting AML, KYC, and conflict checking processesInvestigating and reporting breaches, incidents, and complaintsDelivering compliance training to staff across the firmActing as a point of contact for compliance-related queriesRequirements:
Proven experience in a Risk & Compliance role within a law firm (essential)Strong knowledge of SRA Standards and RegulationsExperience handling AML, GDPR, and regulatory compliance mattersExcellent attention to detail and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesDesirable:
