Job Summary
The Deputy Manager plays a crucial role in the effective operation of our care facility, ensuring high standards of care and support for residents. This position involves overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and collaborating with the management team to enhance the quality of life for seniors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, with experience in assisted living or nursing homes, and possess excellent leadership and management skills.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the SUPPORTED LIVING facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
* Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and training to enhance their performance and professional development.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Monitor medication administration and ensure proper documentation is maintained for all residents.
* Foster a positive environment that promotes resident well-being and dignity, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, collaborating with nursing staff to address any concerns promptly.
* Maintain effective communication with residents' families regarding care plans, changes in health status, and other relevant information.
* Participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of staff members to maintain a skilled workforce.
Skills
* Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
* Strong background in nursing or senior care with knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care practices.
* Excellent management skills with a focus on leadership and supervising experience.
