Opportunity
Stantec, a globally recognized leader in water sector consulting, is looking for a Senior Principal Process Engineer with extensive wastewater experience to drive major projects across South East England. The role can be based in Brighton, Ashford, Kings Hill, or Southampton.
Responsibilities
* Act as a key strategic advisor to clients, leading the technical execution of groundbreaking wastewater projects from inception to construction.
* Guide and mentor project managers, ensuring high‑level execution that meets cost, schedule and quality objectives.
* Develop and refine process engineering designs, including calculations, mass balance, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs and P&ID development.
* Mentor and develop the regional team of Process Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions.
Qualifications
* Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent) and preferably Chartered Engineer status.
* Demonstrable experience in the water industry, particularly wastewater projects.
* Technical mastery in process calculations, control philosophy, commissioning, HAZOPs and P&ID development.
* Experience in a design and construction environment is beneficial.
* Strong leadership, communication and staff‑management skills.
