Robert Half is partnering a growing global European healthcare business in the appointment of a Financial Controller in Manchester.
The business is on a growth trajectory and this is a newly created role supporting the CFO.
A detail-oriented Financial Controller is sought to take ownership of the day-to-day financial management of the business managing a small team. This role will play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and effective controls, while supporting senior leadership with timely and insightful financial reporting.
The business operates in a dynamic and highly regulated environment, so this position requires both strong technical accounting skills and the ability to operate hands-on in a fast-moving business.
You will be ACA or ACA qualified with strong technical skills and the desire to move into a more commercial role with support of the CFO.
Key duties will include:
Financial Management & Reporting
1. Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, board packs and commentary.
2. Ensure timely and accurate statutory accounts, VAT returns and other regulatory filings.
3. Manage VAT compliance including partial exemption calculations, methodologies, and annual adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC requirements.
4. Oversee all daily finance operations (accounts payable, receivable, payroll, banking, cash flow).
