A leading national housebuilder is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Livingston. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a 5? builder renowned for quality, customer focus, and career development, supporting the delivery of residential projects across the Central Belt.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of allocated housing developments
* Prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and forecasts throughout project lifecycles
* Procure sub-contractors and suppliers, negotiating best value and maintaining strong relationships
* Assess, value, and process sub-contractor payments in line with contractual terms
* Monitor site costs and report on variances against budget
* Provide accurate monthly cost/value reconciliations and cashflow forecasts
* Support tender submissions and contribute to value engineering opportunities
* Ensure compliance with company commercial policies and procedures
* Work closely with site teams to support successful project delivery
Candidate Requirements
* Proven background as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the residential housebuilding sector
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant surveying software
