We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of major infrastructure contracts across regulated frameworks primarily within the transport and public infrastructure sectors. You will act as a key operational and commercial link between the Principal Contractor and supply chain partners, ensuring compliance, performance excellence, and seamless project delivery across multi-disciplinary environments.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Contract Management
Administer and manage subcontracts and supply chain agreements in alignment with framework terms.
Act as the company’s authorised representative in operational and contractual matters with subcontractors and supply partners.
Support negotiation of scopes, rates, variations and commercial change control.
Monitor subcontractor performance against delivery, KPIs, budgets, and compliance requirements.
Prepare and submit valuations, payment applications, claims, and correspondence as required.
Operational Coordination
Coordinate day-to-day execution with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
Act as point of contact for subcontractor queries, issues, escalations, and operational challenges.
Attend site meetings, pre-start briefs, and regular coordination sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure subcontractor compliance with regulatory requirements, health & safety standards, and framework procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation including risk assessments, method statements, certificates, licences, and audits.
Report on subcontractor performance, issues, and corrective actions to framework delivery leadership.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, framework partners, and internal teams.
Facilitate collaborative working environments ensuring proactive problem solving and continuous improvement.
Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience in a commercial support, contract administration, or sub-agent role within infrastructure, construction or engineering sectors.
Experience working on regulated frameworks and major transport/public infrastructure projects highly desirable.
Strong understanding of subcontract management, commercial principles, and risk control.
