The role
As a Scheduler, you’ll be at the heart of projects that support the decommissioning and disposal of nuclear submarines – work that’s critical to national security and environmental responsibility. Day-to-day, you’ll provide a professional service with integrity to our customers using your collective knowledge and expertise to reliably deliver high quality support functions to enable the effective delivery of Submarine Support Projects.
1. Assist the Scheduling Manager and team in producing project control and metric reporting packs.
2. Distribute, collect and quality check project information for senior management reports.
3. Attend weekly schedule reviews, input updates and escalate changes or impacts.
4. Maintain and update the integrated master schedule.
5. Deputise for senior schedulers in meetings and reviews when required.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Scheduler
6. Background in project or engineering environments.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
8. Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced setting.
9. Knowledge of submarine or ship systems (beneficial).
10. Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project (training provided).
Qualifications for the Scheduler
11. GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent.
12. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Project Management or Engineering.
13. Desirable: APM or Project Management qualification.
