About the Company
Our client is a leading technology provider operating at the intersection of music, data, and digital rights. This fast-growing company offers innovative solutions that power global digital music distribution, rights management, and royalty reporting. With a platform used by music businesses in over 25 countries, they’re transforming how content creators, labels, and distributors manage and monetize their catalogues.
The Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Compliance Manager to take charge of content, rights, and platform compliance across their digital music distribution network. This role is key to maintaining their standards and relationships with digital service providers (DSPs), rights holders, and clients, ensuring all distributed material aligns with copyright regulations and DSP policies.
What You’ll Do:
* Investigate suspicious client activity flagged by internal tools or DSPs; take action to prevent misuse.
* Communicate with clients to resolve issues, educate on best practices, and enforce compliance.
* Help enhance monitoring tools and systems to better audit content and flag irregularities.
* Analyse revenue reports to spot potential red flags like artificial streaming or rights violations.
* Ensure our operations stay in step with evolving DSP policies and copyright laws.
* Act as a liaison on compliance issues for internal teams and external partners.
* Collaborate closely with Trust & Safety, Customer Success, and Tech to ensure compliant workflows.
What You Bring:
* Minimum 3 years in compliance, digital media legal ops, or rights management—ideally in music or entertainment.
* Comfortable working with metadata systems and content platforms.
* Highly organized with strong analytical and documentation skills.
* Able to handle ambiguous or unprecedented issues by applying core principles.
* Skilled in communication and conflict resolution.
Bonus Points:
* Experience in music distribution or with DSP policies like Spotify’s anti-fraud or YouTube’s Content ID.
* Knowledge of IP law or rights tools such as ACRCloud, BMAT, or global rights databases.
* Legal training in copyright/intellectual property is a plus.
