Summary
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) qualifies leads and prospects, and can also develop leads. You'll initiate first contact, conduct outreach, and set up meetings for BDMs. In the case of smaller customers, follow the sales process itself. Your work lays the foundations for BDM interactions.
Job description
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Identify and generate leads and prospects through various sources.
2. Interact with prospects (via telephone and email) to qualify and process leads for sales opportunities.
3. Manage and nurture leads to move them through the sales pipeline.
4. Set appointments and follow up with prospects to advance the sales process.
5. Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for achieving sales targets by qualifying leads and aligning with team needs.
6. Utilize CRM software to track and manage sales activities and customer interactions.
7. Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and the competitive landscape.
8. Keep up to date with the company's product set, effectively communicate the value proposition, and respond to objections and competitive questions.
9. Attend networking events and trade shows to foster relationships and uncover new leads.
10. Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress, and results to management.
11. Carry out other work as instructed by a managing employee, in accordance with department and company activities.
Requirements
Education:
High school diploma, preferably in business, marketing, or a related field, or relevant sales skills and understanding of the sales process.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
Knowledge:
Maintain professionalism and product knowledge to effectively represent the company.
Maintain a high level of expertise about the company's products or services to confidently inform and persuade potential clients.
Language:
English – B1 level
Communication:
Strong communication and active listening skills to articulate product value, ask insightful questions, and build rapport with prospects.
