Overview
Technical Project Manager role at Hotel Chocolat. This is a full-time, permanent position in our IT team. You’ll deliver IT elements of our Digital Transformation Programme and act as the key link between the Transformation Programme Lead, internal IT teams, and external third-party partners. You’ll manage and coordinate projects that support our evolving business needs, defining deliverables, overseeing timelines and risks, and ensuring IT projects are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and with maximum business impact.
Responsibilities
* Acting as Technical Project Manager across IT projects within the wider Digital Transformation Programme
* Collaborating with business stakeholders and IT resources to deliver effective solutions
* Defining project plans, timelines, resource requirements and risk mitigation strategies
* Managing full project lifecycles, from planning through to testing, roll-out and post-implementation review
* Liaising with third-party suppliers and ensuring project alignment across internal and external teams
* Reporting on progress and issues to the Transformation Programme Lead and IT Operations Manager
* Maintaining project documentation to support governance and decision-making
Qualifications
* An experienced project manager who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
* A strong communicator with the ability to translate technical details to non-technical stakeholders
* Confident managing multiple priorities and balancing the needs of various departments
* Passionate about process, planning, and delivering successful change
Required Skills
* Proven experience of delivering IT projects across their full lifecycle
* Strong stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences
* Working knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies
* Familiarity with Project Management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet)
* Experience working with cloud-based technologies
* Understanding of change control and problem management processes
Preferred Skills
* Certified in a recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)
* Experience in retail, manufacturing, or similar commercial environments
* Prior involvement in IT elements of warehouse or order management systems
* Experience coordinating third-party suppliers and delivery partners
