We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Westminster area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children diagnosed with Autism, behavioural needs and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). You will provide vital support to help students achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalised support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism, behavioural needs and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning, communication.
* Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted support strategies.
* Assist in managing classroom behaviour and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Track, assess, and provide updates on students’ academic performance and well-being.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful space where every child feels valued.
What we are looking for:
* Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a primary school environment.
* Demonstrated patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal abilities.
* Strong communication skills combined with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
* Relevant qualifications are preferred, or a willingness to pursue training in SEN support.
* Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
* DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
